Casement (side hinged) Windows

This traditional window has always been popular. Like other hinged styles casement windows close positively against rubber seals to give excellent weather protection. Casement windows may have an old-fashioned name, but like side hinged doors, they have great practical advantages and are here to stay.

Casement windows normally open outwards to enhance weatherproofing. They may also be ordered to open inwards where, for example, external security bars make an outside opening window unsuitable.3
